Carol Mae (Washington) Fairfax

WILLIAMSPORT - Carol Mae (Washington) Fairfax, 95, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Manor Care North.

She was married to the late John A. Fairfax for 58 years until his death in 1997.

Carol was born in Williamsport on December 21, 1921 and was the daughter of the late Eugene and Margaret (Harris) Washington.  She was a member of the former Salem A & E Zion Church and was one of the original members of the Nancy Whiley Wilson Temple 1036.  She enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting and growing flowers.

Carol is survived by three daughters; Annette C. Angus, Marilyn M. Carter and Valarie J. Clay (Edward), all of Williamsport, seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother; Eugene Washington.

There will be a graveside service 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 11, 2017 at the Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery, PA.

Arrangements are being handled by the Maneval Allen Redmond Cremation & Funeral Home, 500 West 4th St., Williamsport.
