Erma Long Obituary

WILLIAMSPORT - Erma J. (Bastian) Long, 91, passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Rose View Center.

She was married to the late Donald Long who passed away in 1998 and they celebrated 48 years as husband and wife at the time of his death.

Erma was born on November 15, 1926 in Williamsport and was the daughter of the late Raymond E. and Frances M. (Deutchley) Bastian. She was a member of St. Lawrence Church, S. Williamsport. Erma was a dedicated homemaker and enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, sewing and taking care of her family.

Erma is survived by three sons; Michael A. “Mike” Long (Becky Sechler) of Williamsport, Donald F. Long (Cathy) of Muncy Valley and Richard E. Long (Tracy) of York, SC, three daughters; Carol A. Lundy of Muncy, Kathleen M. Douglass (Robert) of Williamsport and Jeannie D. Curchoe (Fred) of S. Williamsport, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her 11 siblings.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family and burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by the Maneval Allen Redmond Cremation & Funeral Home, 500 West 4th St., Williamsport.
