Frank "Ed" E. Welteroth

Frank Edward “Ed” Welteroth Jr., 84, passed away, Saturday, January 7, 2017, at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Williamsport, January 12, 1932, he was the son of Frank E. and Bessie A. (Diebler) Welteroth Sr.

He was married to the love of his life, the former, Marie S. Perchinski. Together they shared 63 years of marriage.

 “Ed” was part of the Roofers Union of Wilkes Barre for over 37 years. He worked in Elm Park for over 30 years and then became the groundskeeper.

Frank served in the U.S. Army and he was a member of the St. Joseph the Parish Church here in Williamsport.

“Ed” loved to play softball, he was on the team named “Emigs” and was part of the Championship team of 1959.

Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Edward (Laurie) of Linden and Scott (Dawn) of Jersey Mills; two daughters, Karen Brainard of Williamsport and Cheryl (James) Ward of Linden; ten grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; one sister, Pat Loner of Williamsport and one brother, Robert of Williamsport.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Joseph.

Graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 01, 2017 in the Wildwood Cemetery, Williamsport.

Arrangements are being handled by the Maneval Allen Redmond Cremation & Funeral Home, 500 West 4th St., Williamsport, PA.
