DUBOISTOWN - Kenneth L. “Blue” Schick, 85, passed peacefully Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.  Kenny married Patty A. Williamson-Stannert) January 31, 1997, in Apollo Beach, Florida.  Born July 18, 1931, in Erie, he was the son of the late Marvin P. and Clara M. (Johns) Schick.  He graduated from Strong Vincent High School, Erie, Class of 1949, and attended Blackmore School of Music.  He was Christian in faith.

Kenny served with the US Navy during the Korean War aboard the USS Cony DD-508.  He was the owner of Schick Plastering Co. of Erie, Salesman for Capital Industries, Avis, Co-owner of Deluxe Homes, Berwick, and independent real estate broker, and retired from Leisure Living Homes, Linden.  He was a 50 year member Masonic Lodge 106, F. & A.M., Zem Zem Shrine of Erie, Zafar Grotto, Rafaz Club, Inc., Korean War Vets of Lycoming County, lifetime member of VFW Post 7863, American Legion Post 251, Keystone League, and “Mountie Rest” Hunting Club, Hublersburg, PA.  A former member of White Deer Golf Course, Kenny was an avid golfer, loyal “We Are” Penn State fan, enjoyed true American history and political novels, and Western movies with “The Duke”.

Kenny’s greatest joy was his love for his family as he is survived by his wife Patty “Pat”, his sons; Michael M. Schick of Cogan Station and Robert J. “Jon” Schick (Peter Uhlein) Rochester, NY, daughters; Lori L. Prowant (Michael) S. Williamsport and Tammy L. Stannert (Scott Duris) S. Williamsport, his grandchildren; Sarah Schick, Ashley Rook, Zach Prowant and Ashley Prowant, his brother; R. Dennis Schick, Erie, Cousin; Ralph Johns, extended family; Darlene Stannert as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother; Marvin J. “Mick” Schick, Erie.

There will be a gathering of family and friends, Friday, June 9, 2017 from 6 – 7:30 p.m. at the Maneval Allen Redmond Cremation & Funeral Home, 500 West 4th St., Williamsport.  Masonic services will be held at 7:30 p.m.  Burial will be private with his family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriner’s Hospitals for Children, 2900 N. Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.

And as Kenny would say ……”See Ya Pal” !!!!

A Celebration of Life for Kenny will be held at a future date and time.
