WILLIAMSPORT - Merrill W. “Butch” Lambert, 76, passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at UPMC Susquehanna, surrounded by his family.
Butch was married on October 24, 1959 to the former Nancy L. (Conrad) who survives and they have been married almost 59 years.
Butch was born on July 30, 1942 in Williamsport and was the son of the late Florence (Kinney) Warner. He was a veteran and served with the US Army. He had worked at Textron for 37 years and retired in 2006. He attended St. Luke’s church, was a member of the UAW 787 and lifetime member of the Duboistown VFW. He enjoyed bowling, watching the Steelers, NASCAR races and little league.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons; Merrill W. Lambert, Jr. (Mary) of Tremont and Will L. Lambert (Dawn) of Nicoma Park, Oklahoma, two daughters; Dee M. Matthews (David) of Trout Run and Tanya L. Lambert of Williamsport, 19 grandchildren; Matthew, Joshua, Zachary, Merrill, Caleb, Zack, Ryan, Stacy, Mike, Joe, Keith, D.C., Demit, Autumne, Logan, Summer, Samantha, AJ and Mimi, 25 great-grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter, one brother; Daryl Warner of Allentown and one sister; Donna McCloskey of Lock Haven. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by one granddaughter; Sheena and three brothers; Tom, Charlie and Skip.
There will be a Celebration of Life gathering 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 2, 2018 at the UAW 787 Union Hall, 656 Lloyd St., Williamsport.
