TROUT RUN - Shirley M. (Schodt) Litzelman, 80, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017 at her home.

She was married to Daniel L. Litzelman, who survives, on June 3, 1955.  They have shared 62 years as husband and wife.

Shirley was born on November 13, 1936 in Williamsport and was the daughter of the late Harry and Edith M. (Moon) Schodt.  She had worked at Weldon’s Garments from 1954 – 1956, Cobbles Shoes and then Home Health of Williamsport, retiring in 1997.  She was Methodist by faith.  She was a member of the Arnot Sportsman’s Club, enjoyed watching Penn State Football, fishing, hunting, cooking, baking and canning, but most of all, loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Daniel, she is survived by four daughters; Susan M. Woodson (William) of Roseburg, OR, Linda K. Litzelman of Cogan Station, Tammie A. Evans (Lee) of Elimsport and Lori Lee Sherant (Raymond) of Arnot, eight grandchildren, two step grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, four step great grandchildren, two brothers; Roland Schodt of Bodines and Harry Schodt, Jr. (Freda) of Trout Run and one sister; Amelia Moyer of Cogan Station.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters; Ann May Kissel and Beverly Holdren.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 15120, Chicago, IL, 60693.

Arrangements are being handled by the Maneval Allen Redmond Cremation & Funeral Home, 500 West 4th St., Williamsport.
