William H. Dirk, Sr.

William H. Dirk, Sr., 65, formerly of Market Street, Williamsport, passed away, Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at Manor Care North.  He was born November 23, 1950, in Bloomsburg, the son of Henry B. and Ruth (Johnson) Dirk both deceased.
Early in his life he was employed by Penn DOT and West Chester Homes.  He was also known for his cooking with The Sheridan Hotel.
He is survived by his first wife, Jane L. Dirk and his son, William H. Dirk, Jr. both of Williamsport; 5 sisters, Alberta Dirk of California, Susan Eck, Sharon Flor, Elsa Summers Kneller, and Judith (Anthony) Peluso all of Williamsport; also 7 nephews and 3 nieces.  He was predeceased by his second wife, Carol.
Bill’s memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 3 p.m. at the Third Street United Methodist Church, 931 East Third St., Williamsport, with Reverend Robert Wallace officiating.
Bill’s family suggests contributions be made to the Third Street United Methodist Church, 931 East Third Street, Williamsport, PA  17701 toward debt reduction for the church.
Arrangements are being handled by Maneval Allen Redmond Funeral Home, Ltd., 500 West Fourth St., Williamsport.
