Hilda M. Eberhart, 96, formerly of Williamsport passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at the home of her son, Paul H. “Butch” Eberhart along Pine Creek in Jersey Shore. She was born December 4, 1925 in Williamsport a daughter of William and Miriam Dietrich Badger. She was married in January of 1950 to Paul H. Eberhart who passed away April 2, 1996.
For many years Hilda was the secretary for L.L. Sterns Department Store in the payroll department. She was a member of the New Covenant United Church of Christ of Williamsport where she was very active as editor of the church newspaper and helping in the kitchen coordinating dozens of meals. Later in her life she became a caregiver focusing on caring for the elderly which she loved doing. She attended ecumenical ministries and lover her home on Memorial Avenue.
Her survivors include her son Paul H. “Butch” Eberhart and his wife Betty Jo of Pine Creek; her daughter Patti Snyder and her husband Carl of Alabama along with 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was affectionately known by them as “Bambi”. Also surviving Ms. Hilda is her sister Mary Ellen Alouisa of Florida. She was predeceased by her brother William Badger
Hilda’s Life Tribute Celebration will be held Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at Maneval, Allen & Redmond Funeral Home at 500 W. 4th Street, Williamsport, PA with her Pastor Brad Walmer officiating assisted by Jason Eberhart. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10-11AM, Service to begin at 11AM, Tuesday with interment to follow service in Wildwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the New Covenant United Church of Christ, 202 E. 3rd Street, Williamsport, PA 17701.
