Robert H. “Mickey” Finn, 81, of Williamsport passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born April 29, 1941 a son to James & Mary (Martin) Finn.
Mickey was a graduate of Williamsport High School. After High School Mickey entered into the United States Airforce and served during the Vietnam War. Directly after his time in the service he joined the Pennsylvania State police as a trooper and was stationed in the York and Bellefonte and then retired out of Montoursville barracks. On November 26, 1969 Mickey married the love of his life, Luciel “Lucy” (English) Finn and they shared 52 years of marriage together.
Mickey was a member of the Young Men’s Republican Club, VFW Post 7863 in Duboistown, The American Legion, 40 & 8 and the 911 Memorial Ride committee. Mickey was an avid golfer and loved Harley Davidson motorcycles. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, landscaping and repairing computers.
Besides his wife Mickey’s survivors include: two daughters; Tami Jacobs (Grant) of Dayton, OH and Leslie Sweeley (Jeff) of Nippenose Valley, six grandchildren; Caleb Jacobs and fiancé Katelyn, Grace Jacobs and Allison, Tyler, Drew and Cole Sweeley, along with a special friend of the family Melissa Hively-Schlafman and her children Ben and Celia.
Mickey was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents Harold & Helen Martin and a brother James Finn.
There will be a public viewing Saturday, July 2, 2022 at the Tabernacle Baptist Church 911 West 3rd Street Williamsport, PA from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM with Pastor Joel Long officiating and full Military Honors to follow. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
