Barbara McGill Obituary

Barbara McGill, 71 of Williamsport passed away on Friday, June 15, 2018 in her home surrounded by family.

She was born February 2, 1947 in Elizabeth, NJ, the daughter of Betty Rickard. Barbara worked for Shop Vac in Williamsport, and after retiring from her position there, she worked in the Prepared Foods Department at Wegman’s. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, she followed the team closely and loved when they were successful. Barbara was a member of the Nancy Wiley Wilson Temple 1036 and Keystone Past Daughter Ruler Council of Central PA and the VIP’s of Williamsport.

Barbara is survived by one son: Reginald Grobes of Williamsport; one daughter: Theresa Sweeting (Brett) of Williamsport; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers: Joseph Rickard of New Jersey, and John Hamilton of PA; and 1 sister: Patricia Kimbrough of Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, her oldest son: Ronald Grobes, sister: Shelia Bowles and great-grandchild: Dannetta Grobes.

Her burial will take place at 2:00PM on Friday, June 22, 2018 at Wildwood Cemetery, 91 Wildwood Blvd., Williamsport. Arrangements have been entrusted to Maneval Allen Redmond Cremation & Funeral Home.
