Brenda Sue (Klotz) Swope

WILLIAMSPORT - Brenda Sue (Klotz) Swope, 63, passed away at her residence on Monday, December 4, 2017 surrounded by her family.

She was married to Michael P. Swope, who survives, on February 27, 1986 and they have celebrated 31 years of marriage.

Brenda was born in Williamsport on September 22, 1954 and was the daughter of the late Herbert and Rosella (Cox) Klotz.  She graduated from S. Williamsport High School in 1972 and had worked at Santander Bank, retiring in 2010.  She enjoyed shopping, decorating her home, visiting her sister Nancy in Florida, trips to New York City and spending time with her family. 

In addition to her husband Michael, she is survived by three sons; Jason Beach Miller (Dr. Matthew Miller) of Bethlehem, Samuel Swope of Williamsport and Shane Swope of Dunmore, one daughter; Heather Merrill (Nathan) of Trout Run, eight grandchildren, three brothers; Keith Klotz (Pamela) of Linden, Ronald Klotz of Lewistown and Timothy Klotz of Williamsport, three sisters; Nancy Chatley of Daytona Beach, FL, Terry Hill of Montoursville and Beverly Marquardt (Ernie) of Muncy, one step-son; Jeremiah Swope of Vista, CA, one step-daughter; Jennifer Luera (Gavino) of Vista, CA, mother-in-law; Ann Swope of Williamsport, sister-in-law; Wilma Reeder of Williamsport, and her beloved dogs; Emmy and Roxie. 

There will be a public viewing 7 – 9 p.m. Thursday, December 7, 2017 and again 10 – 11 a.m. Friday, December 8, 2017 at the Maneval Allen Redmond Cremation & Funeral Home, 500 West 4th St., Williamsport where the funeral will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday.  Pastor Dorothy Anderson will officiate the service.  Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery.
