Carmen L. (DiParlo) Haefner

SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT - Carmen L. (DiParlo) Haefner, 70, passed away Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Rose View Center.

She was born on June 24, 1947 in Williamsport and was the daughter of the late Joseph DiParlo and Veronica W. (Foresman) DiParlo Kohler .  She graduated from St. Joseph High School.  Carmen had worked at the PA Career Link.  She enjoyed and helped teach ballroom dancing, volunteered at the Community Arts Center and helped organize the collection of items to mail overseas to our service men and women.

Carmen is survived by two sons; Robert J. Haefner, Jr. and wife Marie of Winfield and Daniel J. Haefner and wife Melissa of Ladson, SC, six grandchildren; Kaitlyn, Laura, Erica, Ryan, Andrew and Aaron Haefner, one brother; Joseph DiParlo and wife Cindy of Liberty and her step father; Edward Kohler of Largo, FL.

There will be a visitation 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 8, 2017 at the Maneval Allen Redmond Cremation & Funeral Home, 500 West 4th St., Williamsport where the funeral will be held 10:30 a.m.  Mack Duncan will officiate the service.  Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lions Club of South Williamsport, or American Cancer Society, 1948 East 3rd Street, Williamsport, PA, 17701.
