Catherine N. Richards Mosteller of Williamsport, 83 passed away Friday April April 6, 2018 at Divine Providence Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born December 23, 1934 in Williamsport, PA to Frederick and Olive (Richardson) Richards, and grew up in the Williamsport area. On June 14, 1955 she married Chester LaRue Mosteller. Together they raised 4 children and while she was primarily a devoted homemaker, she worked waiting tables, and as a sewer at Wundies. She was an avid Cincinnati Bengals fan, enjoyed fishing, gardening, playing BINGO, and especially her flowers.
She is survived by three sons: Frederick L. Mosteller (Tammy) of Muncy, Jeffrey L. Mosteller of Williamsport and Donald H. Mosteller of Williamsport; one daughter: Cindy K. Cecce of Sayre, PA; seven grandchildren: Wayne Mosteller of Williamsport, Frederick “Freddie” L. Mosteller of Muncy, Joshua L. Mosteller of Muncy, Elle Seese of Florida, Katherine M. Johnson of Sayre, Zachary E. Cecce of Sayre, and Katelyn C. Cecce of Sayre; a great-grandchild: Availia L. Jenney of Sayre; and one sister: Marge Pittenger of Williamsport. Catherine was preceded in death by her husband; both parents; two brothers: Donald and Jack Richards; and four sisters: Geraldine Hudson, Gladys Guisewhite, Barbara Wrenn, and Betty.
Friends and family are invited to the Maneval Allen Redmond Cremation and Funeral Service 500 W. 4th Street Williamsport, PA 17701 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm Wednesday April 11, 2018 to pay tribute to her life.
