SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT - Clifford L. “Cliff” Tompkins, 90, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2018 at his home surrounded by family.
Cliff was born on November 29, 1927 in Duboistown and was the son of the late Charles O. and Mabel R. (Steinbacher) Tompkins. He graduated from S. Williamsport High School and served with the US Army during WWII.
On August 27, 1949, he married the former Betty E. (Williams) and was married to her for almost 65 years at the time of her death in 2014.
Cliff was a member of the Duboistown United Methodist Church and enjoyed coin collecting, jigsaw puzzles and crossword puzzles.
Cliff is survived by one daughter; Pamela K. “Pam” Humphrey (John) of Duboistown, two grandchildren; Gregg Aldinger (Valerie) and Stacie Jolin (Christopher) and four great-grandchildren; Alexandria, Alissa and Isabella Aldinger and Kaleigh Spence. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers; Glen and Charles, Jr. and two sisters; Lucille Hunsinger and Marian Kohler.
There will be a public viewing 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Thursday, September 27, 2018 at the Maneval Allen Redmond Cremation & Funeral Home, 500 West 4th St., Williamsport where the funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. The Reverend Robert E. Stump will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Montoursville Cemetery.
