PITTSBURGH - Coleta Cupp Kohler, formerly of Williamsport, died on October 24, 2019 at the age of 93. Born on June 2, 1926 in Jersey Shore, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Gladys (Barton) Cupp. She was the wife of the late Gordon Kohler who died in 2010.
In the 1930s the family moved to Delmar, NY where Coleta graduated from high school and met her husband. After moving to Williamsport in 1950, she enjoyed caring for her family as a homemaker. In the 70s, she worked as an office manager in the office of Kohler Plumbing and Heating and later for Faxon Cleaners. Coleta was an active member of the former First Baptist Church in Williamsport for 60 years.
Surviving are four children, Karen Dill (Stephen) of Frederick, MD, Douglas Kohler (Kathryn) of Bluffton, SC, David Kohler (Cynthia) of Pittsburgh, Kathleen Beck (Craig) of McKinney, TX, six grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, ten step great-grandchildren, brother Frederick Cupp (Marilyn) of Williamsport and various cousins and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at the Jersey Shore Cemetery with the Rev. Gwen Bernstein and the Rev. Larry Waltz officiating.
Please meet at Maneval Allen Redmond Funeral Home, 500 W. Fourth St. Williamsport at 10:00 am to drive in procession to the cemetery.
