COGAN STATION - Druscilla A. “Dru” (Ryder) Lingertot, 76, passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at Rose View Center.
Dru was married on December 19, 1986 to Byron F. Lingertot, who survives.
Dru was born in Williamsport on June 11, 1943 and was the daughter of the late Clyde and Minnie (Yarrison) Ryder. She was a member of the Christian Church at Cogan Station where she served and was involved with several of the church activities for many years. She worked as a phlebotomist for 24 years at Divine Providence where she retired. She was a member of the National Phlebotomist Society. Dru loved animals, especially horses (Zanzabar and Gent), her cat George and dogs (Shannon, Tavia, Caine, Max and Dutchess). She was a former singer with the Sweet Adelines, enjoyed NASCAR, football and most of all she loved spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband Byron, she is survived by one daughter; Deanna “Dee” (Thomas) Wertz of Spokane, WA, one son; Robert (Amy) Rhinehart of Williamsport, two grandchildren; Corey Wertz and Alexandria (Shawn) Meskell, one great-granddaughter; Rebecca Meskell and one sister; Florence Aderhold. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son; Larry Smith and one brother; Dale Ryder.
There will be a memorial service 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 24, 2019 at the Christian Church at Cogan Station, 5904 Lycoming Creek Rd., Cogan Station.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Christian Church at Cogan Station or to the Lycoming County SPCA.
