Frances E. Clarkson

Frances “Fran” E. Clarkson, 82, of Williamsport, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018 at The Gatehouse, Williamsport, after a short battle with Acute Leukemia.

Fran was born on February 1, 1936 in Williamsport the daughter of the late John and Frances (Buzzard) Bradley.  She married Jack LaRue Clarkson on July 9, 1955 and celebrated almost 58 years of a wonderful life together until his passing on March 14, 2013. 

She worked as a Personal Assistant for Pennsylvania Wire and Rope.  Prior, she had worked for Marathon Carey McFall.  She was a graduate of Williamsport High School, Class of 1953 and was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church, Williamsport. 

Fran is survived by a daughter; Cindy A. (Duke) Draper of Williamsport; a son, Scott E. (Casey) Clarkson of Pollock, LA; eight grandchildren; Travis Draper of Williamsport; Justin (Kristy) Clarkson of Montgomery; Jacklyn Draper, Trisha Draper, Josslyn Draper, Brody Draper, Dalton Draper and Jaeda Draper all of Williamsport; two step grandchildren; Shawn Jr. and Jacob LaPrairie of Pollock, LA; a great granddaughter; Kannon Draper of Williamsport; a step great grandson, Shawn LaPrairie, III of Pollock, LA and her favorite sister, Mable J. Tebbs of Williamsport. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers; Arland, John Jr. and Wayne Bradley; two nieces, Carol and Kelly and a step granddaughter, Addilyn.

In keeping with Fran’s wishes there will be no visitation or services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1101 Washington Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701.
