WILLIAMSPORT - Guy LeCled Allen, also known as “Man,” 64, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 22, 2018. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on April 23, 1954 to the late Guy Allen and Mary Patricia Eggleton Allen. He was a graduate of Williamsport Area High School class of 1972.
Mr. Allen was a state champion wrestler and an exceptional football player known as “Thumper.” Guy retired from the Local 520 Pipefitters where he was a pipe welder. He was a member of St. John Lodge 26 Free & Accepted Masons of PA. His favorite hobbies included a regiment of working out (lifting weights), playing chess, riding motorcycles, caring for his dogs, and fishing.
Guy had a very strong passion for his family and those he loved. He is survived by his wife and love of his life, Sara Allen, three brothers; Dennis Kunes of California, Joseph Allen of Pennsylvania, and Lee Dawson (Robin) of Pennsylvania, and five sisters; Linda Johnson (Kenny) of Pennsylvania, Vontella King of Pennsylvania, Thressa Sellers of Pennsylvania, Susan Allen of Pennsylvania, and Bridgette Miles (Vincent) of Pennsylvania. In addition, he has eight children; Steve Brown (Glenda) of Texas, David Bump (Tabitha) of California, Chris Allen of Georgia, Jamie Allen of Georgia, Balinda Allen of Pennsylvania, Hyson Fredricks of Pennsylvania, King “Chico” Allen of Pennsylvania, Eve Allen of Pennsylvania. He also loved his eleven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Funeral arrangements have been placed in the hands of the Maneval Allen and Redmond Funeral Home, 500 West 4th St., Williamsport. The services as follows: a public viewing from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and a private family service at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 27, 2018 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to the Lycoming County SPCA.
