Dear Marie, please know how sorry I was to hear of the loss of Buzz. He always made the waitresses smile with his sense of humor. Many things were predictible, on Fridays night's, at the Senate. You and Buzz dinning on broiled haddock was one of them.

Our sympathy on your loss. We have fond memories of your dad greeting us at St. Mark's. He always had a smile and a story. We also remember making palm crosses at you house and your dad was always in charge of refreshments! Find solace in all your memories.

Buzz was more than my uncle. He was a hunting buddy, a mentor, at times a surrogate father and most importantly, he was my friend. He and Marie housed me on more than one occasion, one of which was especially difficult. He, Marie and Jeff kept me sane during that time and I am forever grateful. Buzz viewed death in the most pragmatic of terms. While most of us fear it, he simply expected it at some point; nothing more, nothing less. Giving to those around him was nothing special to him, it just was. And he did it abundantly. There were people who could not afford to heat their homes in the dead of winter, but he and my father had their fuel delivered none-the-less, often at their own expense. Our hunting club would not be what it is today without his generosity and hard work. Somewhere in Heaven, the manhattans are flowing and there is joy in the fact that it just became a more beautiful place.
