Kevin Jean Obituary

Kevin Allen Jean

After a short, but courageous battle with Spindle Cell Sarcoma, Kevin Allen Jean, 49, passed away the morning of October 23, 2019 at Divine Providence Gatehouse surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 19, 1970 and was a son of Ronald and Louise Jean, Sr. of Williamsport and Michael and Christine Hauke of Williamsport. Kevin was preceded in death by his mother.

Kevin was employed at Allison Crane and Rigging as an autobody technician. He was a member of Williamsport Moose Lodge 145 and a founding member of The Highlanders. Kevin had an incredible ability to take an old car or truck and turn it into a masterpiece. His sense of humor kept his family and friends laughing even in difficult times. Kevin’s strength and personality attracted people to him and he would become an instant friend. He was a very hard-working man that went out of his way for everyone: family, friends and even strangers. Kevin’s goal in life was to see everyone he knew happy.

Kevin leaves behind his parents, Ronald and Louise Jean, Jr. and Michael Hauke, wife, Tammy (McElheny) Jean, two stepsons, Matthew and Zachary of Lock Haven. His greatest loves, two daughters, Brandy L. Jean of Cogan Station and Emily E. Deppen of Watsontown; a son, Allen M. Jean (Felicia) of Cogan Station; two brothers, Ronald J. Jean, Jr. (April) of Trout Run and Bryan C. Jean (Shelly) of Cogan Station; one stepbrother, Sean Hauke of Williamsport; a grandson, Jayce, and a grandchild due in April; four nieces, Kristi Ann, Larissia, Cayleigh, and Jensen Rae, two nephews, Cody and Christopher, three step-nieces, Tiffany, Kylie, and Lindsey, three great-nieces and a great-nephew. Kevin also leaves behind a man he called his best friend for years, Scott Derr, Florida.

Following Kevin’s wishes, there will be no viewing. A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date. To leave a condolence for the family, please visit www.jamesmaneval.com.
