Madelyn V. (Boyd) Bowman

WILLIAMSPORT - Madelyn V. (Boyd) Bowman, 74, formerly of Philadelphia, went to be with her Lord, Jesus Christ on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

She was married to the late Benjamin F. Bowman, Jr. for over 45 years until his death in March 2002.

Madelyn was born on March 5, 1943 in Philadelphia and was the daughter of Alberta (Morgan) Boyd Taylor of Philadelphia and the late Samuel Boyd.  She was a dedicated homemaker who loved her children, loved music and enjoyed cooking.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by one son; Ronald C. Branham of Williamsport, four daughters; Donna M. Gilliard (Albert) of Philadelphia, Shelley G. Myers (Kenneth) of Williamsport, Lorene D. Good (Demetrius) of Philadelphia and Rhonda Branham of Philadelphia, 12 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two brothers; Samuel Boyd (Diane) of Philadelphia and Claude Taylor of Philadelphia, two sisters; Helen Hill (Frederick) of North Carolina and Claudia Taylor of Philadelphia and a special friend; William Collier of Georgia.  In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one daughter; Lynette Ayers and two brothers; Wesley Boyd and Craig Taylor.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are being handled by the Maneval Allen Redmond Cremation & Funeral Home, 500 West 4th St., Williamsport.
