Mary A. (Weicksel) Fultz

WILLIAMSPORT - Mary A. (Weicksel) Fultz, 91, passed away Friday, August 3, 2018 at the Williamsport Home.

She was married to the late Chester L. Fultz for 48 years before his death on April 6, 1999.

Mary was born in Renovo on January 7, 1927 and was the daughter of the late Henry M.B. and Florence A. (Leonard) Weicksel.  She graduated from Renovo High School in 1945 then Thiel College in Greenville in 1947 with an Associate Secretarial Degree.  She had worked for the South Williamsport School District for 17 years, retiring in 1990.  She was a former member of the Church of the Savior, Williamsport where she was involved with the bell choir, altar guild and Keenagers.  She is now a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in S. Williamsport.  She was also a member of the Women of the ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church Association) and volunteered with the Red Cross, Meals on Wheels and as a Girl Scout Leader.  She loved her dogs, being at camp on Kettle Creek and reading Peanuts cartoons.

Mary is survived by one son; Kenneth W. Fultz of New Albany, OH, two daughters; Kathryn J. Gingerich (William) of York and Susan E. Weaver (John) of Cogan Station, three grandchildren; Joy V. Clifford, Jay M. Weaver (Trish) and Chris J. Weaver and six great-grandchildren. 

There will be a public viewing 6 – 8 p.m. Monday, August 6, 2018 and again 10 – 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 7, 2018 all at the Maneval Allen Redmond Cremation & Funeral Home, 500 West 4th Street, Williamsport.  The funeral will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Zion’s Lutheran Church, 1100 Huron Ave., Renovo with Pastor Melody Sell officiating.  Burial will follow in Northbend Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Zion’s Lutheran Church or the American Red Cross.
