Peggy Bohart Obituary

Peggy L. (Bodle) Bohart, 74, of Cogan Station, passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at the Williamsport Hospital. She was born in Williamsport on November 29, 1943 to the late Lloyd C. Bodle and Dorothy F. Hawkins.

Peggy worked as cook and baker for Griggs Coffee Store. She was a member of St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Quiggleville where she was very active. Peggy served as a lay minister. She was the president of WELCA, a past president of St. Michael’s Church Council and currently she was the secretary of the council. Peggy taught Sunday school, was a communion assistant, sang in the choir and organized the church’s sewing group. She was a member of the ABWA, Trout Run Senior Center and served on the Synod Board for WELCA.

Peggy is survived by a son, William Bohart of Cogan Station, a daughter, Melissa A. Loner (Kenneth) of Cogan Station, a grandson, Robert E. Loner, two brothers-in-law, Samuel L. Bohart (Martina) of Williamsport and Joseph E. Bohart (Linda) of Williamsport and a sister-in-law, Renѐ Dugan (George) of Turbotville.

In addition to parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert E. Bohart, Jr., her stepfather, Ralph W. Hawkins, and a brother, Lloyd Bodle.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, June 25, 2018, at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church, 1877 St. Michaels Rd., Cogan Station with Pastor David Byerly officiating. Burial will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Maneval Allen Redmond Cremation & Funeral Home, Williamsport.
