Raymond Branish Obituary

WILLIAMSPORT - Raymond R. “Ray” Branish, 82, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Manor Care Health Services-North, Williamsport.

He was born on September 12, 1935 in Footedale, PA and was the son of the late Raymond Franklin and Anna (Krostic) Branish.  He graduated from Uniontown Area High School then graduated from Williamsport Technical Institute.  He had worked for Nassau County, Long Island, NY.  Ray was an avid reader and enjoyed history and westerns.  He enjoyed football and college sports.

Ray is survived by four children; Melissa A. Branish (Carl Mazur) of Williamsport, Mark Branish of Nolanville, TX, Michelle A. Branish-Sousa Of Omaha, Nebraska and Marie A. Branish of Myrtle Beach, SC, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister; Patricia Kurnava.

There will be a public viewing 10 – 11 a.m. Friday, March 9, 2018 at Maneval Allen Redmond Cremation & Funeral Home, 500 West 4th St., Williamsport where the funeral will be held 11:00 a.m.  Father Michael McCormick will officiate the service.  Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery.
