Shirley A. (Kulp) Regel

WILLIAMSPORT - Shirley A. (Kulp) Regel, 66, passed away Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Rose View Center.

She was married to Edmond J. “Bud” Regel, Jr. in 1973, who survives.

Shirley was born on September 11, 1950 in Cogan House and was the daughter of the late Elmer and Margaret (Blair) Kulp.  She graduated from Liberty High School, was a member of Centennial Methodist Church in Trout Run and enjoyed reading, cooking and baking.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by twin sons; Joseph E. Regel (Amy) of Maryland and James A. Regel (Karen) of South Dakota, six grandchildren, three brothers; James Kulp of Williamsport, Robert Kulp of Trout Run and Allen Kulp of Cogan Station, one sister; Ruthie E. Stiner of S. Williamsport and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother; Edward Kulp.

There will be a gathering of family and friends 1 – 2 p.m. Monday, August 14, 2017 at the Maneval Allen Redmond Cremation & Funeral Home, 500 West 4th St., Williamsport where the memorial service will begin at 2:00 p.m.  Deacon Steve Frye will officiate the service.  Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
