MONTGOMERY - Anita E. Raudenbush, 96, passed away peacefully with family beside her on Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at Valley View Nursing Center. Affectionately called "Mom", "Nana" and "Aunt Nita", she was born on September 24, 1920, in Meigs, Ga. She was pre-deceased by Husband, Charles A. Raudenbush; Daughter, Kitty S. Scheifley; Father, B. P. O. Edwards; Mother, A'Lama Steele Edwards; Brother, Thomas S. Edwards; Sister, Corinne Adamavage; and dear friends, Kathleen E. and Dr. John F. Bucher.
She is survived by Sons: Ronald C. Raudenbush (Donna), Montgomery; Rex Raudenbush (Patty) New Symrna Beach, FL, and John P. Raudenbush, Warren Center, PA. along with 5 grandchildren (Kristy Gordon, Jamie Raudenbush, Robert J. Glosser IV, and Josh and Lauryn Raudenbush), along with 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Anita graduated from the former Sunbury High School in 1939. She was employed as a cashier for the Williamsport School District, retiring in 1983.
Anita was of the Christian faith. She loved life, especially her family; watching dolphins at the beach; Penn State and Florida Gators; knitting; reading; crossword puzzles; and looking out her former window at Williamsport Manor. She spent her last six months re-discovering coloring and sharing lovely detailed artwork with friends and family. She appreciated the staff and friends at Williamsport Manor and Valley View Hall 700 and the doctors who cared for her in the Williamsport area.
A Memorial Service will be planned for friends and family later this spring.
Maneval Allen Redmond Funeral Home, 500 West 4th St. Williamsport, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
