Anthony L. Fisher

DUSHORE - Anthony Lee Fisher, 31, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, August 20, 2026 at Geisinger Behavioral Health Center, Danville. Though his life ended too soon, Anthony will not be remembered by the circumstances of his death, but by the 31 years he fought to live, by every friend he made, every fishing trip, every person he made sure felt loved despite anything he was facing himself.

He was born on May 4, 1995 and was the son of Robert Paul Fisher of Dushore and Deana Marie (Slacum) Fisher of Williamsport. A graduate of Wyalusing High School in 2014.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by one brother; Robert Paul Fisher II (Alyssa) of Williamsport, one sister; Alexandria Leona “Alex” Fisher of Williamsport, two nieces; Violet and Amelia Huff, both of Williamsport. Anthony took so much pride in being an uncle to his two “monkies”. Also survived by grandparents, cousins, aunts, uncles, and many friends and pets he treasured. Preceding him in death was his grandfather; Frank Adams and great-grandmother; Sarah Stewart.

Anthony had an enormous heart and childlike way of seeing the world. He was fiercely protective of everyone he cared about. Nothing made him happier than sharing time and conversation with friends and family. Most people know this from the frequent calls and voicemails always starting “Hey, it’s just me, Anthony”. He was incredibly forgiving, goofy, and shameless. He loved fishing and hunting. He finally got his hunting license he had wanted since he was a kid. He loved cars, animals, flea markets, and of course flirting with girls any chance he got. Anthony made the courageous decision to seek help and tragically did not have the outcome he was so desperately wanting. His family is devastated by the circumstances, but hope everyone will continue to advocate for him and others like him. His family finds comfort only in knowing he finally has the peace he deserved.

There will be a gathering open to all family and friends 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 6, 2026 at Maneval Allen Redmond Funeral Home, 500 W. 4th Street, Williamsport. Food and memories to be shared afterwards at New Trail Brewing Company for anyone who wishes to join.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either the Lycoming County SPCA or the Bradford County SPCA in honor of Anthony’s love for animals.
