Arthur M. "Mike" Grimes, Jr.

Arthur M. “Mike” Grimes, Jr., 87, formerly of Cogan Station, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 20, 2026, at The Williamsport Home. He was born in South Williamsport on June 3, 1939, a son of the late Arthur M., Sr. and Esther C. (Solt) Grimes.

Mike retired from Trimtex Company after 30 years of hard work. He married the love of his life, the late Helen M. (Dincher) Grimes, on September 3, 1960. They celebrated 28 wonderful years together until her passing on January 2, 1989. Mike enjoyed bowling and spending time with his family.

Mike is survived by three sons, Arthur M. “Murray” Grimes, III (Becky) of Ohio; Allen M. Grimes of Cogan Station; and Albert “Mark” Grimes (Amy) of Cogan Station; a daughter, Lorraine C. Smith (John) of Williamsport; 12 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, Helen, Mike is preceded in death by two brothers, Daniel and Clifton Grimes; and a sister, Emma English.

In keeping with Mike’s wishes, services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were entrusted to Maneval Allen Redmond Cremation & Funeral Home, Williamsport.
