IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Blanche M.
(Hepburn) Digan
September 18, 1938 – December 13, 2024
Blanche Marie Digan, 86, went home to be with Jesus on Friday, December 13, 2024. She
spent the last week of her life being lovingly cared for by the Gatehouse at Divine Providence
Hospital, surrounded by her children. Blanche is finally able to reunite with her youngest son, Wayne, whom she has greatly missed.
Blanche was born in Williamsport on September 18, 1938, to the late Ransom and Marion (Fox) Hepburn. Blanche was the last surviving child of her parents and the last of her 11 sisters and two brothers. She was so looking forward to getting to heaven and reuniting with her "Hepburn" family.
Anyone who knew Blanche went away smiling, she was famous for being a jokester
and making people laugh. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. She
looked forward to her yearly Mother's Day trips, family picnics, and anytime she could hear
updates on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Blanche was a member of First
Southern Baptist Church in Williamsport and greatly loved the fellowship of her brothers and sisters there.
Blanche is survived by her four daughters, Debra (Rick) Geraty, of Beech Creek; Gloria Russo, of Tunkhannock; Becky (Mike) Balliet, of Milton; Fawn (Noel) Carr of Montoursville; and one son, Brian Moore of Williamsport. Blanche will live on in the hearts of her 15 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Blanche was preceded in death by her son, Wayne Digan Jr. and son-in-law, Jim Russo.
The funeral service honoring the life of Blanche will be held at noon on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Maneval Allen Redmond Cremation & Funeral Home, 500 W Fourth St. with Pastor Bryan McClelland officiating. Family and Friends are invited to attend a public viewing from 11am until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Montoursville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Blanche's name to Susquehanna Health Foundation c/o The Gatehouse or UPMC Hospice, 1001 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701.
