Charles W. "Bud" Oldt, 73, of Williamsport passed away March 4, 2021 at UPMC Williamsport. He was born December 17, 1947 in Williamsport the son of Charles D. and Beatrice L. (Hovies) Oldt. He was a U.S. Vietnam Navy Veteran having served aboard the USS Courtney. He was married April 18, 1970 to the former Eileen Grammas who survives. He was employed over 27 years as a machinist with the former E. Keeler Co. and retired from Pennsylvania College of Technology after 22 years, where he was the tool room attendant. He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church.
Bud was a Chevy man and an Atlanta Falcons Football Fan. He was a master woodworker. He enjoyed reading, playing cards and his beagles. Bud was a family man, nothing was more important than spending time together, he loved his family. He enjoyed camping with them and never missed any of his grandchildren's sporting events and was their biggest cheerleader.
Besides his wife of 50 years Eileen, he is survived by a son Matthew C. Oldt of Williamsport; two daughters Amy L. Harris (Chris) of Montoursville and Cheryl E. (Daniel) Riley of Cogan Station. Eight grandchildren – Chelsea (Jeremy), Matthew II (Jade), Conner, Madison, Riley, Aiden, Bailey and Cana. Four great grandchildren – Lukas, Jonah, Evelynn and Maccabee. He was predeceased by grandchildren Amber Nicole and Olivia Rose Oldt and Charles Wesley Riley along with a sister Barbara Snyder.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church 702 W. 4th St., Williamsport, PA 17701 with his Priest The Rev. Brian VanFossen officiating. Family visitation will begin Tuesday evening at 6pm at the Maneval Allen Redmond Funeral Home 500 W. 4th St., Williamsport, PA. In lieu of flowers his family suggests contributions be made to the Machine Tool Tech Program at Pennsylvania College of Technology, C/O the Penn College Foundation, 1 College Ave., Williamsport, PA 17701.
