WILLIAMSPORT - Constance "Connie" M. Crane, 89, passed away Friday, March 11, 2016, at the Gatehouse in Williamsport. Born June 12, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Eric and Mary C. (Newcomer) Gilbody.

In 1948, Connie married her husband of 56 years, Donald E. Crane, who passed away Jan. 7, 2004.

A lifelong resident of Williamsport, Connie had been employed by the Williamsport Hospital, where she had worked for 20 years, as a registered nurse, retiring in 1989.

Connie was a member of the Gardenview Baptist Church for over 56 years. She was very active within the church, holding the positions of Deaconess and the Sunday School Superintendent for many years. She truly enjoyed attending Tuesday Bible Studies.

Connie is survived by a son, Joshua G. (Crystal) Crane, of Williamsport; three daughters, Christen E. Crispin, of Williamsport, Charm A. (James) Young, of Montoursville and Camille D. Crane, of Williamsport; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Jane Webster, of Williamsport.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Connie was predeceased by two sisters, Margaret Rodgers and Martha McManus.

A visitation will be held Friday, March 18, 2016, at the Gardenview Baptist Church, 1600 Doris Ave., Williamsport, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral services will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Robert Achey officiating. Burial will be at Wildwood Cemetery, Williamsport.

Arrangements are being handled by Maneval Allen Redmond Cremation and Funeral Home, 500 W. Fourth St., Williamsport.
