Cynthia Mae Williams, 78, of Williamsport passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, July 7, 2017, encircled by her loved ones. She was born in Jersey Shore, on May 6, 1939, beloved daughter of Thomas and Mary Kay Smith Diggs.

She was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting and crocheting, donating her creations to the less fortunate. She also enjoyed watching tennis and solving crossword puzzles and word games. Cynthia was the true Matriarch of her family always more than willing to council, advise and encourage.
Cynthia is survived by her sister, Florence Brown, of Houston, Texas, and her brother, Maurice Diggs and his wife, Leigh, of Silver Springs, Md., a brother-in-law, Jack Grimes and his wife, Velna, of Williamsport. She will be sorely missed and lovingly remembered by her son, Mark Williams, and daughter, Jocelyn Williams, both of Williamsport, and daughter, Lisa Rae Johnson and son-in-law, Tony, of Milton; nieces (raised like daughters), Cherie Young, of Linden, N.J., and Leslie Strothers, of Williamsport; 10 grandchildren, Kalisha, Anthony, and Diandre Williams; Kenez Braggs, Allison Worthy Powell, Dana Jo Wong, Kayvon Wilson, Derek Williams, and Dupre and Christine Johnson; along with a host of great and great-great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her son, Anthony "Cato" Williams, and two sisters, Mary Ann Jackson and Marsha Grimes.
