Obituary

With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we announce the passing of Darryl F. Taylor, who departed this world in Williamsport at the age of 61. Born on June 20, 1963, in Brooklyn, NY, Darryl lived a life that inspired all who knew him with his warmth, dedication, and unwavering love for family and sports.

Darryl's career was a testament to his hardworking nature and adaptability. He held positions as a shift manager at both KFC and Olive Garden, where he was known for his leadership and kindness. He also worked as a handyman and at Big Y Grocery Store, always approaching his work with integrity and a smile.

A true New York sports enthusiast, Darryl was a devoted fan of the Giants, Yankees, and Knicks. His passion for these teams was matched only by his joy in having a son named Dupre and spending time with his family. Darryl was also an avid reader, often found with a book in his hands, eager to explore new worlds and ideas.

Preceding Darryl in death were his beloved parents, Michael A. Taylor, Sr., and Claudia E. (Leaphart) McMillan, stepfather Robert E. McMillan, brother Charles G. Taylor, sister Patricia Joseph, and cherished aunts and uncles Steven Campbell Sr., Deborah Campbell, and Margret Collins.

Darryl leaves behind a loving family who will continue to celebrate his life and legacy: his son Dupre Williams; brothers Michael A. Taylor, Jr. (Rosemary), Kevin S. Taylor (Nicole), and Richard E. "Richie" McMillan (Priscilla); sisters Diane T. Walker (Michael), Valorie Taylor (Clyde, Sr.), Kim D. Englert (Jeff), Michelle L. McMillan, and Robin Evans. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in his heart.

Services for Darryl will be announced by the family at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to Maneval Allen Redmond Cremation & Funeral Home, Williamsport. To leave a condolence for the family, please visit www.jamesmaneval.com.
