HUGHESVILLE - Dennis G. Harman, 65, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2023 at UPMC Williamsport.

He had married the late Terri L. (Dieffenbacher) on June 23, 1984 and they celebrated 32 years as husband and wife at the time of her death on January 2, 2017.

Dennis was born on June 4, 1958 in Williamsport and was the son of the late James B. and Dolores J. (Keaner) Harman.  He graduated from South Williamsport High School in 1976 and then served his country by enlisting with the US Marine Corps.  Dennis was a police officer for Williamsport City Police and retired after 17 years of service.  He was a member of the National Fraternal Order of Police and he enjoyed Penn State Football, collecting watches, lighthouses and was a history buff, especially the Civil War and war heroes.

Dennis is survived by two sons; Lance T. Harman (Ashley L.) of Hughesville and Layton J. Harman of Hughesville, one daughter; Lindsay N. Derrick of Washington, five grandchildren; Macallen P. Derrick, Dominic L. Harman, Finnegan J. Derrick, Autumn L. Harman and Eli D. Harman-Gair and one twin brother; Donald L. Harman of Phoenix, Arizona.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
