Donald E. Messner, Sr., 83, of Cogan Station, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at UPMC Williamsport.

He was born in Linden on April 4, 1939 and was the son of the late Claudius Divista Messner and Ruth H. (Bailey) Spurr. Donald was married to the late Edith M. (Kepner) Messner on November 14, 1970. They spent 47 wonderful years together until her passing on January 20, 2018. After serving his country in the United States Army, Donald worked as a construction supervisor for Keister Construction in Lewisburg. He was a past president of the Lycoming Creek Sportsmen's Association. He loved to hunt, fish and do fine wood working. Donald especially enjoyed spending time with his canine companions, Booger and the late Rascal.

In keeping with Donald's wishes, services were held privately at the convenience of the family.
