WILLIAMSPORT - Edmond Joseph “Bud” Regel, Jr., 89, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2026 at UPMC, Williamsport.

He was married to the late Shirley A. (Kulp) who had passed away in 2017.

Edmond was born on August 25, 1936 in Wayne, Michigan and was the son of the late Edmond J. and Kathryn (Hopkins) Regel, Sr. He served his country by enlisting in the US Air Force. He had owned and operated Regel Lawn & Garden for many years and then had worked as a mechanic at Wildwood Cemetery. He enjoyed watching old movies and was known as the neighborhood mechanic.

He is survived by two sons; Joseph E. Regel (Amy) of Gambrills, MD and James A. Regel (Karen) of Fanning Springs, FL, six grandchildren; one great grandchild and one sister; Joyce Gross of Williamsport.

There will be a memorial service held 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at the Faith Wesleyan Church; The MAC, 773 Daughertys Run Rd., Williamsport with Reverend Timothy Hartzell officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Montoursville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.

Arrangements are being handled by Maneval Allen Redmond Funeral Home, 500 W. 4th St., Williamsport.
