M. Gridley

Gerald (Gerry) M. Gridley, 80, of Williamsport, PA (formerly of Rote) died on October 29, 2017 surrounded by family. Born in Corning, NY, to Albert and Florence (Mattison) Gridley, he was the oldest of their six children. Gerry and his wife, Amy (Ribble) celebrated fifty-nine years of marriage in September. Surviving besides his wife are five children: Kathy (John) Staje, Betsy (Stephen) Danneker, Cherry Lorson, Nancy (George) Ulrich and Jerry (Stacy) Gridley. There are thirteen grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren.
Gerry was a meat cutter by vocation. He was the Supervisor for Reading Meats in Williamsport for many years. Gerry and Amy owned Gridley's General Store in Elimsport from 1980 -1990. Gerry was active in the communities in which he lived. He was of the Methodist faith.
A time of remembrance will be held from 2:00-4:00 PM with a memorial service at 4:00 PM on Friday November 3, 2017 at Maneval Allen Redmond Cremation & Funeral Home, 500 West Fourth Street, Williamsport, PA. Donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
