WILLIAMSPORT - Harriet S. (Romisher) Finkelstein, 87, died on Friday, November 18, 2016 at the Williamsport Home.

She was married on June 8, 1952 to the late Herbert L. "Herb" Finkelstein who had died in 2000 and they celebrated 47 years as husband and wife at the time of his death.

Harriet was born on April 2, 1929 in Harrisburg and was the daughter of the late Jacob and Lillian (Alterman) Romisher.  She had worked in various law offices as a legal secretary.  She was a member of the Congregation Ohev Sholom where she had been part of the sisterhood, Hadassah and the board.  In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking and playing Mahjong.

Harriet is survived by one son; Lee M. Finkelstein of Columbus, OH, one daughter; Fern Jones (Bob) of Montoursville, four grandchildren; Sarah Kline (Johnny), Rachel Wilke (Jason), Brittany Jones and Ian Jones, six great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son; Neil Finkelstein, one brother; Samuel Romisher and one sister; Alice James.

The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 21, 2016 at the Maneval Allen Redmond Cremation & Funeral Home, 500 West 4th St., Williamsport.  The service will be officiated by her spiritual leader; Rabbi Joel Kessler.  Burial will follow in Ohev Sholom Cemetery.
