WILLIAMSPORT - Helen J. (Reynolds) Godfrey, 82, died on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.

Helen was married to the late Donnell L. Godfrey in 1956, and they had celebrated 22 years as husband and wife until his death in 1978.

Helen was born on January 1, 1934 in Williamsport and was the daughter of the late William E. and Marion (Grant) Reynolds.  She graduated from Williamsport High School.  In addition to being a dedicated homemaker, she had worked at K-Mart Security for many years then was a bus driver for 33 years for Loyalsock Twp. School where she retired from.  She enjoyed gardening, crafts and her pets.

Helen is survived by four sons; David L. Vaughn of Williamsport, James P. Godfrey (Sharon) of Strasburg, Keith A. Godfrey of Williamsport and Steven L. (Julie) Godfrey of Milton, one daughter; Cheryl G. (John) Wise of Waterport, NY, two step-children; Donnell M. (Dorothy) Godfrey of Florida and Deborah (Gerald) Emig of Williamsport, 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, one brother; William (Nancy) Reynolds of Jersey Mills and her dog; Misty.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers; Howard and Robert Reynolds and two sisters; Hazel Hales and Dorothy Peterson.

There will be a public viewing 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday, November 17, 2016 and again 9 – 10 a.m. Friday, November 18, 2016 at the Maneval Allen Redmond Cremation & Funeral Home, 500 West 4th St., Williamsport where the funeral will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday.  Pastor Rick Waters will officiate the service.  Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.
