MONTOURSVILLE - Helen F. (Tomb) Knipple, 98, died on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Valley View Nursing Center.

She was born on July 31, 1917 in Slate Run and was the daughter of the late Grant H. and Hazel F. (Clark) Tomb.  Helen was married to the late Hilmer C. Knipple for over 50 years before his death.  She had worked as a postal clerk and was Methodist by faith.

Helen is survived by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter; Joyce A. Bradley, one brother; Gail E. Tomb and two sisters; Geraldine Overdorf and Dottie M. Webber.

There will be a graveside service 12:00 (noon) on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at the Slate Run Cemetery with Pastor Kenneth Weiss officiating.

Arrangements are being handled by the James C. Maneval Funeral Home, Ltd., 500 West 4th St., Williamsport.
