ELIZABETHTOWN - Howard R. Wykoff, 95, formerly of Williamsport, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at the Masonic Village, Elizabethtown.
He was married to the late Frances E. (Tarr) on July 13, 1962 in North Bend and they had celebrated 47 years as husband and wife before her death on April 7, 2010.
Howard was born on August 24, 1920 in Renovo and was the son of the late Frank E. Wykoff. He served during WWII in the Pacific with the US Coast Guard. He had worked within C.C.C., PA Railroad Shop in Renovo and Piper Aircraft for 25 years. He was a member of the Lite Life Chapel, Free Mason Lodge 495 for over 65 years and the Loyal Order of Moose. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Howard is survived by one step son; Richard L. (Mary) Farnsworth of Cogan Station, one step daughter; Donna R. (Robert) Wagner of Lawrenceville, seven grandchildren; Cherie Agnoni, Richard Farnsworth, Gene Farnsworth, Helen Sherman, Jennifer Farnsworth, Jeff Farnsworth and Wendy Six, 16 great-grandchildren and several great great-grandchildren. In addition to his father and wife, he was preceded in death by one step son; Donald G. Farnsworth.
There will be a public viewing 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, January 16, 2016 at the James C. Maneval Funeral Home, Ltd., 500 West 4th St., Williamsport where the funeral service will begin at 10:00 with the Reverend John C. Staje, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lock Haven. Military honors will be conducted by the Lycoming County Korean War Vets.
