COGAN STATION - James "Jim" L. Pryor, 86 of Cogan Station passed away Jan. 15, 2017, in the comfort of his home, with his family by his side.  He was born Nov. 29, 1930 the son of Elmer Rantz Pryor and Erma (Sholder) Pryor of Bottle Run.

"Big Jim" was a graduate of Williamsport High School class of 1949.  He served in the Air Force from 1950-1954, he then made his living working on the railroad for Conrail as a maintainer retiring in 1991. He was a member of the Lycoming Centre Presbyterian Church, Cogan Station.

Jim was fortunate to have enjoyed 60 years of marriage with Gloria (Dodds) Pryor, they were married September 19, 1952, their love will be always and forever, Gloria passed away in April of 2012.

He is survived by a son, Rantz Pryor, Sr. (Cindy Bush) of Williamsport, grandchildren, James Pryor, Williamsport, Rantz (Susan) Pryor, Jr., New Jersey, Lena Pryor, Cogan Station, Abra Pryor, Williamsport and nine great grandchildren, Sierra, Seanna, Kamryn, Griffin, Evangeline and Gloria Pryor, Clara, McKenzie, Jamison and Royce Chaney.

Jim was a real treasure; one of the last of his Pryor family generation, Pap's legacy will live on.  May all who knew him remember his kindness, his voice cheering from the stands, his humor, his whistle and his stories.

Family and friends please join us for a Tribute of Life for Jim Pryor, there will be a public viewing Friday, Jan. 20, 2017, 6-8 pm and Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017, 9-10 am with a funeral service at 10 am at the Maneval Allen Redmond Funeral Home, 500 West 4th Street, Williamsport, PA  17701, Pastor Jerry Fourroux will be officiating.  Burial will follow at Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.
