WILLIAMSPORT - James M. Stepp, 69, of Williamsport, passed away, Monday, February 13, 2017 at Manor Care South in Williamsport.  He was born May 14, 1947, in Williamsport, the son of Mearle and Audrey (Smith) Stepp.  James married Suzanne E. (O'Connor), February 4, 1989 and they shared 28 blessed years together.

James graduated from Williamsport High School in 1965 and was a veteran of the Vietnam-era serving four years in the US Army .  He had been employed as a salesman, selling ball bearings, with Kaman Industrial Technologies.  James was a member of the First Baptist Church in Williamsport.

James is survived by his mother, Audrey, his wife Suzanne, one son Tre of Williamsport, two stepdaughters Tammy Gingrich and Sarah Alford, both of New York, two step-grandchildren and one step great grandchild, one sister Regena Stepp; also two aunts, one uncle and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Mearle.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
