Joanne E. (Hendricks) Johnson

Joanne was born Monday, November 28, 1949 at the Orange Memorial Hospital in Orange, New Jersey.  Daughter of the late Joseph Hendriks, Sr. and Elaine P. Hendricks.

Joanne was raised most of her life in Orange, where she loved to dance, roller skate, bowl and simply watch television.  She attended the local schools and it is also where she met and married her late husband Rodney A. Johnson, Sr.  Joanne was known to her family as "Nana", a name she wore well and will always be remembered by.

In 1996, "Nana" moved to Williamsport, PA where she resided with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her partner Freddie Grady.  And this is where she spent the rest of her days until her peaceful passing on December 21, 2021 at UPMC Susquehanna, Williamsport.

Joanne will be joining in eternal life her parents, her husband, two siblings; Joseph Hendricks, Jr. "Junie" and Yolanda E. (Hendricks) Tucker "Taloola" and niece; Robyn Hendricks.  She leaves behind five children; Elaine, Rodney, Edward and Gerald Johnson and Damon Hendricks, grandchildren; Sheena, Terrance, Shakina, Shamika, Joyelle, Mark and Alnor, great-grandchildren; Mahki, Sheiana, Shanniyah, Kobe and Khaleesi, daughters-in-law; Latrell, Leonna and Dushawn, son-in-law; Terrance, partner; Freddie and a host of other family and loved ones.

Funeral Service will be held 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at the Maneval Allen Redmond Funeral Home, 500 W. 4th St., Williamsport.  There will be a viewing at the funeral home 1 hour prior to the service.  Services officiated by Fonda Dotch.
