Obituary

Joseph Raymond Porter, 73, of Williamsport passed away Monday August 12, 2019 at Geisinger Hospital in Danville, PA.  Born July 8, 1946 in Williamsport to Huling D. and Emma M. (Johnson) Porter, Joseph grew up, and attended school in Williamsport.  He worked for Divine Providence Hospital, and attended the Salem AME Zion church.  Joseph enjoyed listening to R+B Music, and was an avid sports fan closely following  the Little League World Series, the Philadelphia Phillies, Seventy-Sixers, Flyers and New York Giants.

Joseph is survived by two sisters:  Rebecca Jane Baity of Williamsport and Joyce Marie Porter of Buffalo, NY; 3 nephews:  Ronald E., Edward D., and Jeffory B. Baity all of Williamsport; a niece Sharon L Baity of Williamsport and a host of loving cousins and great nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother Edward H. Porter and a great-nephew Terrance B. Baity.

Friends and family are invited to pay tribute to Joseph's life from 12 noon to 1pm on Saturday August 24, with a service to follow, at the Maneval Allen Redmond Cremation and Funeral Service 500 West 4th Street Williamsport, PA 17701.  Minister Joseph E.
