COGAN STATION - Kathryn E. (Schoffstall) Baker, 94, went to her heavenly home Saturday, December 19, 2015 at the Gate House, Williamsport.

She was married to Ernest E. "Ernie" Baker, who survives, on March 2, 1940 and celebrated 75 years as husband and wife.

Kathryn was born on May 28, 1921 in Lykens and was the daughter of the late John H. and Margaret R. Schoffstall.  She graduated from Williamsport High School.  In addition to being a dedicated wife and loving mother, she was a member of the Zion Trinity Church in Cogan Station and enjoyed crocheting, writing poems, playing the piano, building puzzles and doing cross word puzzles.

In addition to her husband Ernie, she is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law; William D. and Judy Baker of Cogan Station, Robert L. and Clara Baker of Nisbet and Dean R. and Karen Baker of Pompano Beach, FL, three daughters and two sons-in-law; Bonnie L. Bunce of Montoursville, Kathy A. and Max Furman of Elimsport and Susan J. and Lloyd "Jack" Furman of Cogan Station, 24 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson; Mark Bunce and one son-in-law; Gary Bunce.

There will be a public viewing 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at the James C. Maneval Funeral Home, Ltd., 500 W. 4th St., Williamsport where the funeral will follow at 11:00 a.m.  The Reverend Max W. Furman will officiate the service.  Burial will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery.
