MONTOURSVILLE - L. Fae (Banzhaf) Nierle, 92, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 28, 2015.

She was married to the late Joseph M. Nierle, Jr. for 52 years before his death on January 20, 1999.

L. Fae was born on November 17, 1923 in Williamsport and was the daughter of the late George and Katherine (Keiser) Banzhaf.  She graduated from Williamsport Area High School.  In addition to her being a dedicated mother and homemaker, she had worked at the Vanity Shop for 15 years and retired in 1995.  L. Fae was a talented artist working with oils and charcoals and enjoyed gardening.

L. Fae is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law; David W. and Margaret Nierle of Greensboro, NC, Joseph M. "Mark" Nierle, III of Summerfield, NC and George C. and Darla Nierle of Montoursville, four daughters and three sons-in-law; Katherine D. and Joseph Calabretta of York, Veronica R. "Rona" Hine of Montoursville, Patricia F. and Randy Boyles of Montoursville and Judith A. "Judy" and Gregory Snell of Williamsport, ten grandchildren; Kevin, Jeffrey, Thomas, Jr., Cynthia, Kevin, Colin, Nolan, Tanya, Tabatha and Chloe, eight great-grandchildren, one sister-in-law; Shirley Banzhaf of Williamsport and two nephews; Gregory and Keith Banzhaf, both of Williamsport.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother; Howard P. Banzhaf.

There will be a public viewing 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, December 3, 2015 at the James C. Maneval Funeral Home, Ltd., 500 West 4th St., Williamsport.

L. Fae's Celebration of Life will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 4, 2015 at the funeral home with Pastor Kenneth Weiss officiating.  Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Montoursville.
