DUBOISTOWN - M. Kathryn E. (Ertel) Kreger, 105, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2017 at The Gatehouse.

She was married to the late Herman Albert Kreger in 1966 and they had celebrated 47 years of marriage before his death in 2013.

Kathryn was born on September 13, 1912 in Hughesville and was the daughter of the late W. Charles and Laura J. (Rishel) Ertel.  She had graduated from Shenandoah Valley Academy and then Washington Missionary College.  She was a grade school teacher for 27 years at the Williamsport Mountain View Adventist School.  She retired in 1976.  She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, S. Williamsport, and was the leader of the Dorcas Society for 20 years.  She enjoyed Sweedish weaving, ceramics, counted cross stitch and she was an amazing cook.  Kathryn and her late husband Herman were often seen walking their poodle on the streets of Duboistown.

She is survived by nieces and cousins.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by siblings; Jack Ertel, Ivan Ertel, Benjamin Ertel and Maxine Ertel Bair.

There will be a memorial service held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 9, 2017 at the Maneval Allen Redmond Cremation & Funeral Home, 500 West 4th St., Williamsport with Pastor Anthony Crawford officiating.  Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Williamsport Seventh-day Adventist Church, (for use in Evangelistic Funding) 201 Market St., S. Williamsport, PA 17702.
