JERSEY SHORE - Margaret J. "Peggy" Shaffer, age 71, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2023. She was born on September 2, 1952, in Williamsport, a beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Helen Mae (Weaver) Shaffer.

Peggy worked at Hope Enterprises, Inc. and Sheltered Workshop. She found great joy in her role as a Special Olympics Bowler, showcasing her talent and determination on the bowling alley. Peggy also had a passion for music, singing, and listening to her favorite tunes. She enjoyed spending time listening to the TV, playing bingo, and engaging in card games with her loved ones.

Peggy will be deeply missed by her brothers, Joseph (Nancy), Lawrence (Gail), Kenneth (Becky), and Richard Shaffer; sisters, Mary Ann (Gregory) Krauser and Cathy Lunkwitz; nephews, Lawrence, Jr., Joseph and Shawn Shaffer, Michael Lunkwitz II, William Krauser, Shane Allen, and Charles Danley; nieces, Angela Galentine, Jennifer West, Melinda Leitzel, Tara Wright, Zophia Reaney, and Carly Squire; as well as numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Peggy's family and friends will be held on Friday, December 15, 2023, from 10am to 11am at Maneval Allen Redmond Cremation & Funeral Home, located at 500 W. 4th Street, Williamsport. A celebration of life service will follow at 11am, officiated by Pastor Jerry Fourroux.
