Marilyn Emslie, 91, of Williamsport, passed away with her son by her side on Friday, March 7, 2025, at her residence. She was born in Queens, New York on September 2, 1933, a daughter of the late Henry and Margaret (Molitour) Sendlien.

Marilyn married the late Lyell Emslie in 1956. She was a past member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Baldwin, New York. Marilyn worked in Rockville Centre as a paralegal, but her true passion was singing. She sang jazz and cabaret in various nightclubs throughout Manhattan, usually performing in a few shows a year in front of many of her friends. Marilyn was a good person with a wonderful heart. This love translated into cooking wonderful meals and doting on her son, Eric, who will miss her dearly.

Marilyn is survived by her son, Eric Emslie of Williamsport, her daughter Carolyn and husband Michael of Wantagh, New York and grandchildren James and Thomas. In addition to her parents and husband, Lyell, Marilyn is preceded in death by a brother, Hank Sendlien.

Services to celebrate Marilyn's are pending and will be published in the upcoming weeks.
